23,000 N95 masks and Tyvek suits were donated to Providence Health & Services and Clackamas County Emergency Services.
In response to the need for personal protective equipment for health care workers and first responders, the Oregon Humane Society has donated 23,000 N95 masks and 100 Tyvek suits.
The supplies were originally donated to OHS’s investigations department and disaster response team several years ago by a local manufacturer.
“As we were looking through our storage units for extra PPE, we were excited to find this large inventory of supplies.” says Sharon Harmon, OHS president and CEO.
On Friday afternoon, a team from OHS delivered 18,000 N95 masks and 50 Tyvek suits to Providence Health & Services, and 5,000 masks and 50 Tyvek suits to Clackamas County Emergency Services.
“We are so grateful to those working on the front lines, caring for patients affected by COVID-19, added Harmon. “This is just one way we can show our appreciation.”
