Give With Your Heart on #GivingTuesday

Support from animal lovers like you allows Oregon Humane Society to help animals with medical needs, like Biscuit. Shortly after this young and exuberant pup was surrendered to OHS, staff noticed that he was limping. A medical exam confirmed that Biscuit needed surgery on a ligament in his knee. Read on to learn how donors made Biscuit’s care possible.

Ready to give now? The impact of your generous donation for #GivingTuesday will go twice as far—up to $50,000—thanks to an anonymous donor!

Our Commitment to Care

Biscuit required a specialized procedure, one that needed the skills of an outside surgeon. OHS also needed to identify a calm and supportive foster home that could help Biscuit during his long recovery. Enter Evan, a new foster volunteer who knew immediately that he wanted to help Biscuit on his long journey of recovery. Even though it would take extra care, patience, and attention, Evan felt in his heart that he was the right person to say yes to Biscuit.

Because of donors like you, OHS was able to support Biscuit as he recovered in his foster home. When his story took a series of unexpected turns—a second surgery on his other knee followed by a surprise infection—OHS was able to help. Evan remained Biscuit’s caregiver throughout it all, and forged a bond so deep that he couldn’t imagine a life without his new friend. Evan adopted Biscuit and the pair now enjoy adventuring together.

OHS can provide the best possible care to animals like Biscuit because of the generosity of donors like you.
